Adobe Updates Lightroom and Camera Raw
Adobe is keeping up with the Joneses — or rather, the constant influx of new cameras — with updates to Photoshop Lightroom and Camera Raw. The updates add RAW conversion support for 23 cameras from 10 different companies. The updates also include new lens correction profiles and some bug fixes.
Lightroom 3.5 is free as long as you already have a licensed copy of Lightroom 3.x. To install the 3.5 update, simply download it (click here for the Mac update and here for the Windows update), then double-click the updater file.
Note that the Camera Raw 6.5 plug-in requires version CS5 or later of Photoshop. You can install the update automatically (choose Updates from Photoshop’s Help menu) or manually:
1. Download the update (click here for the Mac update and here for the Windows update).
2. Make sure that Photoshop and Bridge are not open.
3. Double-click the update file you downloaded.
For complete listings of the camera models newly supported in the updates, and for information on which bugs have been squashed, check the Me Lightroom 3.5 Read Me and the Camera Raw 6.5 Read Me.
