Adobe Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary
On December 1st, Adobe Systems turned 30 years old and the company is inviting its fans to join in the celebration by sharing their proudest moments or creations made with Adobe products via Twitter.
From now till January 4th, if you send a tweet with the hashtag #happy30adobe you’ll be entered in a contest where you can win $50 in Adobe branded merchandise (aka swag). You can browse the potential prizes, which range from adorable teddy bears to zippered hoodies here.

Five winners will be chosen at random and notified by direct message on Twitter. There is a limit of one entry per person. You can read the full list of contest rules here.
There’s not a lot of evidence of the 30th anniversary on Adobe’s website, but those interested in learning more about the company’s history can check out the 25th anniversary video and interactive timeline at the History of innovation page.

And for an even deeper look at the first two decades of Adobe, Pam Pfiffner’s book Inside the Publishing Revolution: The Adobe Story traces the roots of the desktop publishing revolution through the rise of the Web and interactive design.
