Add Tracking and Commenting Tools to InDesign with New Plug-In
Annotations is a brand-new plug-in for InDesign from software company DTP Tools. The Annotations plug-in is designed to ease the process of entering changes requested by clients or coworkers. You’ll no longer have to look back and forth between a marked-up PDF file and your layout, because Annotations lets you bring comments and changes into the InDesign document itself.
Annotations can import notes, comments, and edits from a PDF into the InDesign document that generated the original PDF. In this beta, Annotations does not understand pencil drawing.
Annotations works with InDesign CS3 through InDesign CS5.5 on both Mac and Windows. It will sell for $79 per license, but because the plug-in is in the public beta stage, you can test it for free.
