To be honest–that’s though to say.

How complicated in your planner? Actually–what do you mean be a planner? To me a planner is a calendar.

Are you going to be using InDesign a lot of the time or occasionally?

The first thing I would do is google basic things about InDesign (such as paragraph styles, character styles, etc.) to get you familiar with the terms and the basics.

I have no opinion so far as Lynda.com. Personally I’ve never needed to watch or learn anything from those videos, but some people say it’s helpful. For a newbie such as yourself–it probably would not be a bad idea.

Also–try to search here for topics. There is a ton of helpful info at this site.

A huge bit of advice: Definitely stick around here. Ask all the questions you want. Everyone here is willing to help answer your questions, and in many cases–look at your files to help. There are no stupid questions or anything. We all were newbies at one time, and I think I can say everyone here will answer your questions and help guide you.

It may take a day or so before some replies, but most times answers come quickly. I know I log-in three or four times a day.

If you can give us more info about your project(s), that would be very helpful.

Dwayne
