Numbering Tables Using Sections

      I’m working on a manual and am using sections instead of chapters. I have the page numbers restarting from 1 in each section (1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 2-2). I’d like to label some tables in the same manner. Is it possible to label the table with the section and have the number after the dash increase with each one and restart in the next section (1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 2-2, etc.)? My table headers are not currently in my tables but are in a separate text box grouped with the table.
