Workamajig Improves Global Search and More

Press release
Workamajig, the leading worldwide integrated software for ad agencies and others in the creative and design industries, has released additional enhancements to its Global Search, and added features into the new Workamajig interface.
Workamajig plans to kick off major announcements at its Workology 2.0 Conference, April 11-14, 2010, at the Hotel del Coronado resort in San Diego CA.
Using client feedback, Workamajig improved the Global Search to a point where it is now out of beta. The Global Search feature makes it faster to find things in the database. For example, if a user wants to look up a contact, project, they can now simply start typing part of the name in the global search box and all records in the database that match that name will show up. Then, all they have to do is double click the record and it opens using the proper screen for that record.
In discussing these features, Ron Ause, Workamajig’s director of marketing, said, “The Global Search is our own internal Google. When our clients ask for features, we say ‘No Workamajig Problems at all!’ And if they have complaints about Workamajig, all they need to do is talk to their personal trainer!.”
Internal Marketing departments were also assisted in the latest release. Workamajig recently added the Project Summary Scoreboard Report. This is like a metric monitor for agencies, which shows how many Project Requests were handled, project summaries by type, client and even billing/chargeback information.
Building on recent updates for iPhone and Safari for Mac & PC, Workamajig continues to improve their Advertising Agency Software with every quarterly release.
Additional functionality has been moved to the new Workamajig interface based on Adobe’s Flex. After moving most of the core functionality to Flex Workamajig has recently moved screens such as the employee set up screen to Flex.
Commenting on the new reporting features, Ause says, “Internal marketing departments have it hard. Pressures abound from all over the firm, making their projects even more difficult to manage. Workamajig’s new Project Summary Scoreboard Report gives them additional leverage in helping their internal clients, showing them how well their department’s resources are used.”
“To quote Steve Jobs, ‘We’re making our most innovative products ever and our customers are responding,'” touts Ause. “We’re constantly improving our software, to make our clients more profitable, and improve ease of use and intuitive functionality to make this the best Project Management Software for creatives on the market.”
Workamajig’s update includes updates for Apple’s Safari web browser version 4.0.4, the world’s fastest browser, available for Mac & PC.
This release continues to build on the major foundation upgrade that Workamajig made to its Ad Agency management software, addressing interface improvements based on years of research, client interviews and user feedback. All improvements are a direct result from intensive field testing and direct client feedback from actual users of the Workamajig Creative Management Software.
As always with Creative Manager Inc.’s products, no installation or conversion are necessary, and all updates are at no cost to the over 20,000 users of Workamajig. All client logins and vendor logins are always free.
