Trash character in Notes

      I use the InDesign “Notes” feature heavily. In CC 2017, there is a strange bug that overwrite the first character of each line in the Notes box with an X. If I resize or edit the text, it’s always the first character of the first line and every turnover line that is affected.

      Any idea what is happening, and how to fix it? It’s annoying, but also makes it hard to read my notes.
