Advanced data merge

      Hi everyone,

      I need to generate multiple labels from a spreadsheet. The last field is Quantity, that represents the number of labels I need to print for each record.

      With data merge I can generate a file like this, with a single label for each record.

      But how can I generate a file where each record is repeated N times, where N is the value on the column Quantity? So 20 copies of the first label, then 5 copies of the second, 25 of the third and so on.

      Maybe can it be automated with scripts?

      InDesign’s Data Merge cannot do that. A script could. Or you might want to look into scripting Excel (so that you can create the data with the duplicates in excel before using data merge)
