      Hi
I am working on a long document with many tables and charts that are all part of the text flow. I need the charts to be centered in the text flow. Can anyone advise how to do this without having them as separate objects?
      Many thanks!

Make sure the tables and charts are all inline objects, then you can apply a para-style to them (select “indent and spacing” – centered).

The entire table is regarded as one character in a paragraph, so you manipulate it as such.

Insert your cursor in the paragraph immediately above the table and hit the down-arrow key (or in the paragraph immediately below and hit the up-arrow key), you’ll notice a huge blinking cursor to the side of the entire table, this means the table is selected. Then you change the position by playing with the regular paragraph settings (found in the paragraph panel or control panel) such as left indent, right indent, space before, space after, alignment etc.

      Excellent answer, Ari!

You can also create a paragraph style for your tables that would center them and apply the other paragraph attributes you might want.
