      Hi,

In my current project I am running into numbered lists, where eg number 1 is for the first two paragrahps, 2 only for the third, etc. Admittedly, this is the first time I run into such formatting. As you know, applying a list paragraph style will number each consecutive paragraph. Since the lists are indented, I can not simply revert the the second para to my default body style, but I can work around it by creating a paragraph style that has the same indent as the list style.

I am wondering if there is a method in which this is not necessary.

Does the list run in a pattern? Such as every two paragraphs are assigned to one number? Or are they random, such as two paragraphs, then one, then three etc.?

In general, what you are doing is correct: One paragraph style for numbers at the beginning, and one for no numbers.

Thanks…it wasn’t as cumbersome as I thought to do it this way.
