Automatically updating Chapter Numbers and Section Numbers

      I’d like to know if section markers (as Arabic numbers) can be automatically updated if the page they are on is moved. I’m working on a textbook where we have page markers in place, but also need to have separate numbers in place for units on every verso (left hand) page. These unit numbers need to be dynamic so they update if unit is moved to a different location.

      I set it as a book file with separate documents for each unit and using Text Variable:Chapter Number on the Master of the Style Source. That does work. II’d like to know if it is possible to do this with one document using section markers that can be automatically updated.
