I have spent hours searching the web for techniques or software which can transform an multi-page InDesign magazine (or PDFs) into a simple self-running page flip movie. All I can find are tons of software which create interactive page flips files. I don’t want the interactivity or any advanced controls – I just want to show a quick preview/promotion teaser of the magazine which can be posted as a self-running/looping movie on e.g. Facebook and web pages. Unlike all the page filp solutions around, the file should NOT be readable.

I have also tried to search for Premiere functions which can do this, but with no luck (with Premiere I would also have the option of adding music and text, but I guess this is another forum).

      Appreciate any suggestions.

It sounds like you want an animation program, not a page-flip program.
One idea you might consider, though, is to create a SWF file (and html) from InDesign with page curl. Then open that file in a web browser, start a “screen capture application” and record the video of you manually turning the pages (without sound). Then you can edit that, crop it down so you can see just the page turning, and shrink the video to the size you want.

Hey. That’s a rather tweaky, but creative workaround :). I was thinking of a more automated process, as we have quite a number of 100+ page magazines to preview. As you recommend I’ll start a more extensive search in Edge Animate and Premiere, and hope I find a solution there.

Thanks for the tip and for the great services you offer.
