      Hi,
Just wondering what everyone uses for cross-referencing page numbers in InDesign?

Using InDesign’s in-built cross-referencing tends to slow our documents down if there are a lot of cross-references to other documents in a book. This is not as slow if I have all of the documents in a book open, but this is not always possible (due to number of books or co-workers needing to be in some of these documents at the same time).

I’ve used Cross-Reference Pro from dtp tools and it seems to work fairly well, but it doesn’t seem to do as good of a job making *consistent* working clickable hyperlinks in interactive pdfs. With everything setup the same, clicking on some of the hyperlinks in the pdf will not take us to the referenced page and we have to fix these manually in the pdf.

Any tips on using either the in-built cross-references or Cross-References Pro are greatly appreciated.
