      Hi,

      I have InDesign CS5.5 (v7.5.3) installed on a Windows 7 PC.
The problem I have is that when I click on InDesign to open it, it can take up to 15 seconds for the splash screen to even appear, so there is a delay somewhere but I can’t workout what it’s doing in this time ? All of the other apps in the creative suite open in a timely snappy time.
If I have Task Manager open I can see that the process InDesign.exe*32 appears in the list as soon as I click to open the application, its just the application splash screen takes ages to visually appear on the display.
I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled the whole suite, I’ve removed the font manager, removed network printers, but nothing makes a difference!
Does anybody have any ideas what’s causing InDesigns startup delay ?

      Many thanks in advance!

It may be the Welcome screen. Try turning that off, then restarting InDesign?

      For the newer version:
