FontAgent Pro Adds Auto-Activation for Adobe CS4 and QuarkXPress 8
Insider Software today announced FontAgent Pro auto-activation plug-ins for QuarkXpress 8 and Adobe Creative Suite 4, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. The plug-ins are available immediately in FontAgent Pro version 4.0.3, which also add support for French and Italian systems.
More Plug-Ins than Any Other Font Manager
With the new release, FontAgent Pro continues its long-standing technical leadership over Extensis font management offerings, including plug-ins for Adobe CS2, 3 and 4, as well as QuarkXPress 6, 6.5, 7 and 8.0.1. FontAgent Pro offers more auto-activation plug-ins than any other font manager, and is the only one that auto-activates fonts in Adobe Photoshop.
New Support for French and Italian
The new release also marks the first availability of FontAgent Pro 4 in French and Italian. The FontAgent Pro installer automatically detects users’ language preferences.
System Requirements
FontAgent Pro 4 requires Mac OS X version 10.3 or later running on an Intel Mac or Power Mac, and 15 MB of memory. It supports all Mac OS X fonts, including Open Type, Type 1, dfont, and Mac and Windows TrueType. FontAgent Pro Server requires Mac OS X version 10.4 or later and 256 MB of memory. FontAgent Pro supports local and networked home directories.
Pricing and Availability
The retail price for FontAgent Pro 4 Standard Edition for is $99.95 (USD), with volume discounts available from Insider Software and resellers worldwide, including SHI, PC Connection, PC Mall and Zones in North America, as well as Apacabar in France and Active Software in Italy. FontAgent Pro’s Workgroup Edition offers peer-to-peer font sharing, and the Connected Edition connects to FontAgent Pro Server, and both versions retail for $129.95 (USD). Upgrades for current FontAgent Pro 4 owners are free, while owners of previous versions can upgrade at half-price. Users can download FontAgent Pro 4 software, including free 30-day trials from their website.
