      hi there,

i have a couple of questions on grep in indesign. can someone help?

      1) i am trying to find a fullstop(.) – end of a sentence, after which, the new sentence starts without a single space. e.g. “this is the end of a sentence.this is the beginning of new sentence”.

in the above example there is no space after the fullstop(.) and i want to insert one.

so i am able to find such patterns by grep [\u]\.[\u] with indesign find/change.

but i am not able to just insert a space using the change. e.g. [\u]\. [\u] does not work. can someone help?

      2) also i am not able to find similar patters where ?/! is used instead of “.”(fullstop). can someone suggest a expression here?

      thanks in advance.

I suggest looking through some of our many articles about GREP, including “Favorite GREP Expressions You Can Use”
      https://creativepro.com/resources/grep

In general, you need to need to search for something like (\u\.)(\u) and replace it with $1 $2
