I would second Noel’s recommendation on learning how to use paragraph styles, character styles (and object styles, for graphics) effectively. They are huge timesavers, and completely indispensable tools when working in indesign.

A second tip I’d offer is to make template documents so you don’t have to recreate styles, adjust margins and columns etc. for each and every new project.

If you haven’t already, I’d check out videos on those topic over at lynda. As for other resources, I’ve pretty much relied on indesignsecrets articles (in addition to the training I got at my office) to become (more) efficient at using ID.
