This seems like a no brainer, but it has gotten under my skin. I’m doing an illustrated children’s chapter book. Illustrations to be placed are .PSD (Using Photoshop CS6). This will be a color print book. When I set up my initial ID and PS Preferences, I relied on information from Visual Quickstart Guides for ID CS6 & PS CS6 by Sandee Cohen and Real World InDesign CS5 by David Blattner. Are there any specific Preferences that I should use as defaults for a print book for both Id and Ps? Is there anywhere I can go to get this information or should I not worry about any of this? Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

      Hello chwood!

My personal opinion is that you should not worry.Sandee Cohen and David Blattner are professionals in their work. They know what they’re doing , you can completely rely on their eBooks.

If you care so much about printing , if you’re afraid of errors that can occur when printing, don’t stress yourself out to the normal things that happen and many of the professionals who know better such work than we know ourselves , they are faced with such errors.

      Try with another literature:
