That is odd that you are losing your preferences. Do you mean things like your keyboards shortcuts and work space?

Have you created a workspace and saved it? If not, you can make one, and if ID ever crashed and reverts to a default, you just have to tell it to use your saved one again. (It’s under “window” then “workspace.” You can also save your keyboard shortcuts, which is under “edit,” and at the bottom is “keyboard shorcuts.”)

We have a gal at work who “loses” that stuff when she crashes. But she just goes to those two places and selects her saved shortcuts and saved workspace, and then she’s good to go.

I have no idea why it would lose your colors and fonts, though. I know if I have a file and it crashes, as soon as I open it the fonts are missing. But if close it, and re-open again, it’s there.
