Glyphs

      I have a debate going with a co-worker on glyphs. She says glyphs, such as fl, fi or ff should have kerning added when they are in headlines to separate the kerning pairs so the letters do not touch. I say the glyphs are designed this way for a reason and should be left alone. What do you say?

      I say “should” should not be used when talking about design. Phrases like “Looks right” and “doesn’t feel right” should be used. :-)

      I think it depends on the font.
