Distributing images automatically on a page?

I have about 2.000 photos that I have to distribute “randomly” on various fields so I am looking for ways to speed up the process. I have two examples below, I will have a different number of images for fields depending on various things. But what I am wondering if there is a way for me, with a script or something like that, do distribute a set of images automatically on the page so they look kinda like the ones below?
