I just made a 25 page PDF for a client. Each page has 6 storyboard panels (images) and a block of VO text underneath. I won’t go into the insane reasoning, but… the client now wants each “storyboard panel” on it’s own separate page. If this was as simple as creating a new document, with only one Rectangle Frame per page and inserting each PSD image—a little work, but doable.
However, the VO is not part of the image and so it would need to be recreated, or copy pasted… for each page… not doable.
Is there a way to create multiple, exportable slices or artboards on a page (or Master Page) and then export each of them to a new document, one to a page, etc.? I would love to be able to create a larger container that included the image and text, and then use a script of some magical origins to export each one to its own page.
The other alternative, which significantly reduces the professional look of the resulting PDFs is to take irregular-sized screen captures of each storyboard panel and paste those into a new PDF. Boo.
I’m using InDesign CC ’14.
