Hi,
i’ve got a big problem with layout in InDesign Cs6… it’s quite difficult to explain…
I have a to create a book 15×21 cm with 304 pages. A text of 700.000 charachters and 150 images
In the double Mastro I have created only the number page box and two text on the top of the pages (left page: title of the book / right page: title of the chapter) and some guides.
After 3 days all the contents from page 198 to 232 disappear. ALL contents: text, images, page numbers, the two text on the top, guides… ALL… the pages are totally white (and is useless to associate them with the mastro again… nothing change…)
The floating text, from page 198, continues to page 233 with the problems that the text is no more related with the images because all the images from pages 198 to 232 disappear…
Actually they don’t really disappear… because if i check “links” panel i can see the indication of this hidden images and the panel says me that they are on pasteboard but with x=0 / Y=0 / L=0 and H=0 and if i try to change something in these pages InDesign crash.
I don’t have found solution. My only solution is to delete these pages (with all the images inside) and recreate them, import the images again… substantially do the job from the beginning. This problem is not new for me, it happens often… (seems related to mastro problem and happens more frequently if i use an old layout to create a new book)
pleas don’t tell me to re-intalling the problem, I’d like to avoid this
