Hello –
I’ve watched every video there is on Alternate Layouts/Liquid Layouts (Lynda.com included), yet I can’t seem to crack this one. If I have a book laid out in a document called Manuscript where all my edits happen, and I want to create alternate layouts of that document for iPad, iPhone, etc. How do I do so without having to adjust the text frame of each spread for all 300+ pages on the smaller layouts? The text links no problem, but only the first page abides by the object-based rule and makes the text frame smaller to fit each alternate layout, but all the pages after the first one display the 8.5×11 full-sized text covering the much smaller iPad and iPhone layouts. Is Alternate layout/Liquid Layout not meant for documents longer than a few pages due to the fact that you have to manually resize text frames for each page?
Am I missing something?
Any help would be appreciated.
