Is there a way to link snippets? Remember those old Dell commercials? Where a computer is put together on a conveyor based on the different types of components that the user selects? That’s the idea of how I put together my user manuals for the machines our company makes. So, for instance, they can choose between three different types of motors, four different types of conveyors, etc. I put together each manual based on the selections our customer has made. I will be reusing these over and over, so I pre-wrote the descriptions and paired them with images and saved them as snippets. But now I want to be able to edit the original once and have all the locations these appear to update. Is this possible in InDesign CS6? Missy

I don’t use it myself, but I think you might want to take a look at Conditional Text: https://creativepro.com/finally-conditional-text.php

And Kelly Vaughn may be a willing and helpful resource: https://documentgeek.com/
