      Hello all,

I am working on a template for a client and I was hoping to be able to lock an image-frame in position and size, but allow the user to swap and resize the placed image within the frame.

I have managed to get it so that it’s locked and you can swap a new image in. However, it seems to be preventing me from resizing it once placed. Does anyone have any ideas on this? It might be that it’s just not possible…

      Many thanks in advance,
      Helen

If you lock it, how are you able to swap in a different image?

No, in general, if an object is locked, it’s totally locked… you can’t even select it.

      Hi David,

      Thanks for the reply.

By deselecting the “Prevent Selection of Locked Objects” option (Preferences > General > Object Editing) it allowed me to lock an image-frame and place a new image into it.

But sadly there appears to be no way of moving/scaling the image within the locked frame, which is proving to be rather frustrating!

      Helen
