      Hi!

Is there a way to anchor object in to a picture, not to a text.
Im trying to parent description text and a price tag in to an object. When I move or do adjustments to an object the anchored object (tag, descr. text) should not be deformed or scaled. Just stay anchored in certain corners.

Anchoring works by attaching objects to text. A picture does not have text, so anchoring is not an option.

You could anchor an image to text and achieve the desired result. This solution will allow the text and image to stay aligned as well as be able to resize the image without resizing the text.

      Create a text frame.
Copy/paste the image in the Text Frame to anchor, add a paragraph return, then type in the description text and price.
Right-click the Image Frame and choose Anchored Object Options. (or create a new Object Style)
In the Anchored Object Options window, select “Position:Inline or Above,” click the “Above Line” radio button, then adjust “Space After” until you see the text overlap the image (something like -3p3).
Edit the description text and price Paragraph Style to add a Left Indent of 1p0.
Now test. Resize the Image Frame (not the Text Frame)β€”the text remains aligned, and does not scale! Awesome!

Note: in the “Anchored Object Options” window, “Custom” anchored objects arranges the image in front of the text. “Inline” or “Above Line” will arrange the image behind following text, but they leave a gap unless you make them the last thing in paragraph and pull them down behind the next paragraph, which may not always be practical.

Appreciate for the reply. I could not reach the desired point. I am using a Data-merge. Snippet is available here:

I don’t know how to explain it really in English.

      Thanks again.
