      With a run-in index, how do you get a colon after the main entry, and a semi-colon separating the subtopics? In other words, how do you get a colon (instead of a semi-colon) after the main entry and before subheading topics?

      With a run-in index, I would like the entries to appear in a format like this:

      – Main Topic + colon
      – Then subtopic comma page number(s) + semi-colon separator before next subtopic.

      Here’s an example . . .
      Dogs: allergies, 129; breeds, 188;
      difference from cats, 210; housebreaking, 300

      When I generate a run-in index, CS6 puts a semi-colon after the main entry, Dogs; allergies, 129; breeds, 188

      In CS4 & CS5, it formatted it correctly per the first example I gave above.

      In the Entry Separators | Between Entries box above there is a semi-colon, and I *do* want a semi-colon after the page numbers separating the different subtopics, but NOT after the main topic of “Dogs”.

      Any advice appreciated. Thanks!
