At large sizes (titles for example), I often need to compensate for the space between the box and the first letter, by moving the box or using indents. I presume the space left to the first letter is its side-bearing, which explains why it gets bigger as the type size changes.

To illustrate the case, please have a look at the screenshot via this Dropbox link: https://www.bulbfactory.ch/share/screenshots/InDesign-alignTextToBox.png

I was wondering if a function or script exists to help align “P” with the pink guide?

Thanks in advance for your help, with my best regards,

      Mathieu Christe
