I am using IDCS4 on Win XP. I am currently laying out a new edition of a book which has hundreds of images. These images are placed in one-cell tables with the captions in the following row & are preceeded & followed by text. The text also contains reference to the images. The captions are Fig 2.1, Fig 2.2 etc. right upto Fig 2.98, Fig 3.1, Fig 3.2 etc.
The problem is that I want to insert a few images in between the existing images. This would require me to manually find, change the fig numbers in the captions. Is there a grep code or a script to make the changes (say increasing the fig numbers by 1 or 2 after inserting an image from that point onwards to the end of the document) if I run the code or script. Also, would the grep code or script be able to work in both text as well as tables as the captions are in table rows whereas the text contains the reference to the figure numbers
