I' ve recently begun using CS5 and have found some of the posted articles on various scripts very helpful.

However, I now see that there are a lot of scripts already installed. I'd like to be able to use them, but I haven't been able to find on the Adobe web site nor here on the Indesignsecrets forum any documentation that lists these scripts and gives some sort of thumbnail description of what they do and how they are used.

If this documentation isn't freely available, perhaps someone could point me to a book or other documentation that I could buy.

      Many thanks.

Most (if not all, I didn't check) of the standard scripts have a short one-line description, somewhere just after the boilerplate data on version, creator, etc. But you have to open the script first to see this line.

      Scripts that start with

//DESCRIPTION: xxx (insert any text here)

show this line in a popup when you hover over it in the Scripts panel, so I try to start all of my scripts with that.

      Jongware:

Thanks for the quick reply. I've started plowing through them and copying down the brief description, as well as opening them to see what they do.

      Very helpful.
