    Hello all,

    I'm looking for a way to preview my indesign cs6 document horizontally – not in the panel menu but in the full size working window. Like flipping through a book.

    Here's a link to what I have (above) vs what I want (under, manipulated in photoshop): https://postimage.org/image/hwza42skd/

    A colleague used to work like that on Indesign cs5.5, but now that we've upgraded, we can't find that anymore, nor do we recall how we did it on the 5.5 :( but it was a super nice feature.

    Help, anyone?

    InDesign has never had a way to show pages horizontally in the document window, but the Pages panel might do what you want:

    Otherwise, you'd have to export the pages as images and view it elsewhere.

    It probably has some limitations in actual practice, but it is possible as long as you have an InDesign version with the Page Tool. It's not quite the same as o-Boo's screen capture, however.

    Hi! thanks for trying to help, but that's not what we meant… Rob's a smart method but it's not practical when working on full-length books as we do. My colleague insists that she had this horizontal preview on the 5.5, but I'm also starting to think maybe she doesn't remember right. Anyway, thanks.
