Hello,
How do I make palette fly-outs always open vertically rather than horizontally?
I prefer to work with all my palettes nested to the right of my workspace, not floating on top of my design. I have “Application Frame” and “Application Bar” turned on so visible and the toolbar kept on my left. But too often when I clink on the Links or Swatches palette tabs for ex. they “fly-out” to the left and cover up my design right where I may be about to make an edit.
I'd prefer they all open downwards, not to the left and STAY that way. How do I get the palettes to always “unfurl” vertically like drop-down window shades? Is there a preference for this setting or Is it just a matter of tucking them in to the right of the vertical scroll button and not drag them out by accident?
Although I'm a long time InDesigner user I've only recently moved to ID CS5 and 5.5. Am wondering how the gurus here prefer to set up and manage their workspaces. Obviously they have many custom workspaces — I know how to create and save those.
Thanks
