Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me create a circular gradient, (no, NOT a radial gradient) in which the gradient begins at 12 o'clock and reaches it's opposite end at 11:59, like a circular progress bar. It is basically a linear gradient running around the stroke of a circle with no fill color.
I have made two attempts. First I created a circle with a wide stroke – 20 pt – then selected the thin-thin stroke type and used a gradient as the gap color. It looks nice, but unfortunately the gradient is not applied as I would like.

I also created a straigt line with the same settings and tried to convert it to a circle, but (1) I could not get a perfect circle and (2) the gradient still applied linearly across the image rather than around it. Note that the gradient runs from white to green (not white-green-white as it might appear below), so if applied as I would like, green would meet white when it runs full circle, not transition back to white, though I would grant bonus points if anyone can tell me how to do it both ways
Actually, I'll be happy just to get it done one way.

If Illustrator or Photoshop have to brought in I can do that but would prefer to stay in InDesign.
Many thanks,
Joseph
