      Hi All,

I need to change all of the “continued on” and “continued from” using the special character symbols for next and previous page number. (They're all newspaper jumps) I need to put parentheses around them [ie. (continued on page 2) ].

I copy and paste into the Find/Change dialog box but the problem is when I do the change all of the special characters change to the number 1.

This happens both in CS2 and CS5.5. And it happens with the text and grep options. Obviously I'm doing something wrong. Any ideas?

      Thanks for any help

In the regular Text tab of the Find/Change dialog box, you should be able to search for ^X (which means “next page number”) and replace with (^X)

      No?

I found that code by clicking on the little @ menu to the right of the field and choosing Markers > Next Page Number

      Does that work for you?
