      Hi All,

Is there any way to export from a single InDesign file to multiple PDFs?

I'm working on a print magazine, of which I have to produce a PDF of each article (these can be single, double or run into multiple pages, and there can be any number or articles within the magazine). Is there any way to export each article out of InDesign automatically, if I sectioned out the magazine as per Numbering & Section Options maybe? At the moment, I'm doing it long-hand, either exporting out a range, or splitting out the PDF in Acrobat.

Many thanks – fingers crossed… this could save a vast amount of time!

There are some plug-ins, such as BatchExporter from Zevrix, I believe. Here is a free script that works for many people:

So I know this is a super old topic. I’m looking for a way to do this very same thing. Exporting each section into it own individual PDF file without me having to do it multiple times. The link given is truncated and not working. Is there something new or can anyone point me to the link referred? Thanks!

Sorry about that link, Lynette. I think it’s fixed now.

I think LayoutZone can also be used to export PDFs of selections: https://www.automatication.com/index.php?id=13
