HELP!!! I work for a weekly paper (whose deadline is MONDAY) and I am having a major crisis! We purchased a new mini-mac on Tuesday with Lion complete with CS6. Here's my problem.

I can't figure out how to

      #1 – set paragraph styles

#2 – in CS4, I had print presets set to postscript my pages before running them through distiller and sending them to press. In CS6, there is no option under the general tab / ppd dropdown box for me to select adobepdf7.0. Not sure if there's a way I can just export pdf directly from CS6 or what I should do! HELP!!!!

#1: You do it in the same way as every earlier version: the paragraph styles panel. Not sure what the problem is there.

#2: Use File > Export, then choose PDF (Print). That's the best way to get PDF out of InDesign.

You don't want to use Distiller in most modern workflows: https://creativepro.com/cre…..tiller.php

If you absolutely have to get PostScript, you can slog through the comments here: https://creativepro.com/acr…..eopard.php

      David,

I'm currently using Lion and CS6 – is there a way to add an 8.0pdf to the list of printer options under the ppd dropdown box? Trying to export directly as a pdf doesn't allow me all the options necessary to send my news pages directly to the press. Any suggestions?
