      Hi,

I am working with a LARGE table – 35 double page spreads, with five columns in the table. It is an appendix to an aviation book.

I have the table content flowing from page to page and have found how to lock the TEXT frame that contains the table.

My question is, can I lock a complete page or a spread ( or even specific rows ) to prevent it from changing as I work further through the table.

My client is constantly updating info in the table and I would like to lock FINISHED data so that when I make changes further into the table there is not a ripple effect on finished pages.

Not sure if I have explained it well but would be grateful for any help anyone can offer.

      many thanks in advance

      Graham

No, you cannot lock content, just objects. My only suggestion would be to put the table in its own set of frames (story) so that text before or after it is not affected.

Thank you David for your quick reply.

I have already placed the table in its own set of frames and that works very well, just a pity I can't lock content.

      Maybe a suggestion for CS7 !!!!
