Why ID doesn't use the original fine name when printing-saving to postscript? Everytime I do this ID assigns a strange name to the postscript file.

For example; The File name is:

      WRS_page45.indd

      when saving to ps is:

      54554672zsbotemp.ps

Even I if click the finder to pick up the file name the next document I will process is going to have the strange name.

May I enquire, are you creating a multipage document for print by having an Indesign document for each page, then saving each page as a ps file and then turning that ps file into a pdf?

Yes, each page page needs to be saved as .ps then into a pdf

Ireally don't mean to be critical but this seems quite a strange way to work. Aside from the single page workflow it is far easier to create a pdf directly from ID.

Yes, I know and believe me I'm opposed to make PDFs this way but I'm a contractor-freelance following instructions. The employer have a plug-in for batching to ps which works wonderfully but there instances when there is corrections to 1 page and I rather use the print-save as ps method because I can select specifically the page number I want in a multipage document.
