thanks for your speedy reply.

However, I wasn't thinking GREP exclusively. I know I can apply a GREP style to the contents of any cell which starts and ends with parenthesis. I expect therefore that somewhere in the bowels of the file, the code for cell + content + GREP will appear. It's way beyond my ken, but I was wondering if this configuration could trigger a script to apply a different cell style, or simply amend the right indent of the cell. (I use the word simply with my tongue firmly in my cheek!)
