style sheet quick keys without an extended keyboard

      I do tons of text formatting using style sheets in InDesign. For years, I've always had an extended keyboard with the number pad attached and would always assign quick keys to my InDesign style sheets to make formatting faster. Now I've got a Macbook and there's no number pad. How can I assign quick keys to my style sheets using this keyboard on the Macbook or one of the newer wireless keyboards that comes with the iMacs? I feel like I'm wasting so much time clicking back and forth!

      I strongly suggest learning how to use Quick Apply (search this site for various articles about it). That really helps speed up applying styles.

      You can also use Blatner Tools (blatnertools.com) to assign any keyboard shortcut you want to 10 paragraph styles (plus 10 character styles, and 10 color swatches, layers, and more).
