I wanted to know if there is any way to change the swatch color of text in all Paragraph styles so that the styles are redefined with the new color swatch. Is it possible to do so by Find/Change or do we require a script fot the same

Designate one of your styles as the Master and base all of your other styles on that one. Then you only have to change the text color in this one.

Alternative #1: if all of your styles already have some custom swatch applied, delete it in the Swatches panel and replace with the new one.

Alternative #2: well I guess it can be scripted as well.

Thanks for replying. The problem with the first alternative is that all the styles(about 50-60 of them) are already prepared. So to change their master style would be difficult as they may not all be based on the same master style.

Delete all the other swatches and replace it with the Swatch you want

Thanks, Jongware & Eugene for replying. I now realize what you are hinting at. Deleting the swatch in the swatch panel & replacing it looks like the best option. I never thought that this could somehow change the swatch in all the styles. A very simple solution indeed.

If you've used that swatch in a coloured frame or anything else, then it will be replaced there also. Careful now.
