Hi Amy, yes, they made quite a few changes in 5.5… the HTML and EPUB code was pretty much entirely rewritten from scratch, I believe.

I'm not sure why they made this particular change, but I like your idea of using the TOC to help pre-populate the Export Tagging feature.

BTW, I'm going to move this topic to the regular InDesign forum. The Pub is usually used for non-InDesign-specific stuff, like design and other informal items.
