Justification Problems CS5.5 to Mobi

I'm using the new Kindle .93 plugin for CS5.5. Everything worked well, with one problem: when I view the resulting file on a Kindle (or in Kindle for PC or Kindle Previewer) some lines aren't justified. In some cases it'll be one or two lines per paragraph although most paragraphs are correctly justified.

However, when I change “devices” in Previewer, Kindle DX, Kindle for iPhone & iBook are almost perfect in their justification, with only a few problems.

I read somewhere this is a general issue for Kindle (something about them not hyphenating long words).

Is there a way around this problem? Something I'm doing wrong in CS5.5?

      Thanks for any help!

Hi Michael, I'm glad you posted here.

It may very well be a hyphenation problem. Can you post a couple screenshots of what some of them look like in the Previewer?

Below is the first page of text, shown with two different font sizes selected. In a smaller size, there was no justification problem. …. It does seem to be a hyphenation issue. Is there anything to do to prevent this from happening in a kindle format? thanks, Michael

Thanks Michael. From everything I've read on this topic, you're encountering a failure of the Kindle software/hardware, specifically its “paragraph composer.” Nothing you can do about it, unfortunately.
