Query regarding Table of contents

      In Table of contents, while defining a TOC style, are styles included in the final TOC generated based on the name of the Style defined or the characteristics of the style. Thus for example, if a style is defined as Level 1 in TOC & if a certain topic has that style applied but with overrides, would that paragraph be included in the final TOC generated or it would be excluded because of the overrides.

      Even if there are overrides, the paragraph will be included in the TOC.

      However, sometimes the local formatting will appear in the TOC when don't want it:

      Thanks David. The blog post you mentioned outlines the problem accurately. Hope Adobe come up with a way to prevent the local formatting from getting sucked up in the TOC. Maybe in ID CS6.
