I recently upgraded from CS3 to CS5. In CS3, I was able to highlight any words and add a hyperlink to the words, along with the actual web address in the content.

I am now working in a new document in CS5, but linking the words ins't working, regardless of what I try. For example, if I put in and link 'www.indesignsecrets.com', it links fine. If I put in 'mailto:indesign@secrets.com', it works fine, but if I put in 'Click here to go to InDesignSecrets', and try to link the word 'here' to https://creativepro.com, it doesn't work. Are there any work arounds for this?!

Well, it works for me just fine on CS5. I just selected the word and entered web address in hyperlink panel and that's it, it works.

Check first in Preview panel if your links work properly before exporting to pdf and other…By the way, you should choose pdf (interactive) when exporting.
