I have very little experience using InDesign, but have taken on a project for my college alumni to investigate creating an e-book yearbook for our next reunion. So, after taking the Lynda.com course on InDesign Essentials, Anne Marie's course on InDesign to EPUB, and some others, I'm working on a draft mini-yearbook. Now, here's the rookie question: after deciding to steal some of Anne Marie's css coding for side-boxes, etc., from one of the courses, must I now do the rest of the work directly in the html file or can I go back to InDesign CS5.5 and define those styles some way? My suspicion is that, once I have begun to use a custom css file I have to create the references/links for it manually in, for example, Dreamweaver. Anyone able to understand my question? Thanks.

I haven't done a lot with EPUB yet, but it looks like in the EPUB export dialog you can select an existing CSS file. So, I would say that you should be able to go back and edit in indesign and just select the existing CSS file on export.

      I hope that helps.
