Hi,
I'm exporting pdf from InDesign for use on the web. The files need to be accessible, so this means being able to read out loud, and to reflow.
My bullet paragraphs are created with Bullets and Numbering styles, with a new bullet added using unicode character 25A0 (Black square) and set in Arial Unicode (I'm not sure this is the best way to go, but it does seem the safest. I used to use a zapf dingbat, but it is read out loud as 'N' which I'm not happy with). For the bullet to sit right, and because they are in a colour different to the text, I then create a new bullet character style that baseline shifts the bullet, and colours it.
My problem is that in reflow mode, long bullet paragraphs that flow to more than one line basically look like they have no leading and become difficult to read. I set the leading on these paras to auto hoping that might help but it hasn't.
I've also sampled some paras without the baseline shift, and some with the bullet character set to different leadings, but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas anyone?
