I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer to this. I need to know a way to auto number the front and back of a page with the same number. (i.e. page 1 and 2 would be numbered 01, page 3 and 4 would be numbered 02…)

I have tried everything I can think of, but the only way I know to do it is manually. I have a project with 200 individual pages and really don't want to number all of that by hand.

      Any suggestions?

No suggestions, but that may be because your idea isn't really any standard at all for book design. InDesign's possibilities are firmly based upon historical book design.

I suggest using auto numbering instead:

Thank you for the suggestion. The project is actually to print multiple flash cards on one sheet so page 1 is the front and page 2 is the back, but we need a system to keep the pages together when they are UV coated. So we've added the same page number to the front and back so if they get mixed up or flipped over, it's easy to reorder them.

      Thanks again.
