Hello all, this is my first post on the forum although I have used ID secrets for many years to help me out. This time i couldnt find the answer from searching. My question is regarding the marquee tool functions.

I love that now in CS5 you can subdivide your drawn box into evenly spaced multiple boxes by using the arrow keys, but is there a way to adjust the default spacing it puts between the boxes when drawing them?

      thanks in advance!

If I recall, the gap space is based on the current page's Margins & Columns setting? You can control that with Layout > Margins & Columns.

I don't think there's a way to adjust the default spacing.

But if you hold down CTRL and use the arrow keys you an adjust the spacing

It would be more efficient to draw a frame at the required size then use Step and Repeat

You can then select GRID and insert the spacing required.
